Dallas, Texas – PIA is pleased to announce that veteran communications professional Holly Becka has joined the firm as a principal.
Her hiring strengthens the firm’s leadership in public engagement, strategic communications, and AEC marketing services.
Holly brings 30 years of experience in strategic communications, branding, marketing, public relations, and writing and editing. She began her career as an award-winning journalist, spending more than 15 years as a reporter, including more than a decade at The Dallas Morning News.
Her professional background includes leading public outreach and stakeholder engagement for major transportation and high-profile infrastructure projects across North Texas. She has led stakeholder outreach on both planning and construction projects and is TxDOT-precertified in Category 1.8.1 Public Involvement.
In addition to her public engagement expertise, Holly has served as a strategic communications and marketing consultant to a variety of clients, including a private investigations firm most recently.
She is also a seasoned AEC marketing professional with extensive experience leading pursuits for engineering and infrastructure firms. She has guided teams through complex RFQ and proposal efforts, interview preparation, and client outreach, helping firms secure more than $100 million in TxDOT contracts and achieve sustained growth.
Holly previously partnered with PIA as a public engagement consultant on a TxDOT corridor study and an NCDOT statewide planning project, giving her a strong understanding of the firm’s approach and culture.
As principal, Becka will help advance PIA’s public engagement and strategic communications practice while supporting the firm’s expanded AEC marketing and pursuit services for public-sector clients.
